Reviews

What the Alumni say

Prisca, Research Associate ACRES

As a statistician with a foundation in primary research, I am truly inspired by how this program has empowered me to elevate my work transforming and contextualizing data for policies that create meaningful, real‑world change

Annette, Policy Intern MLW

The Programme was new but it turned out to be really helpful. I learned how to use research and data to inform policy decisions and make them more effective. What I liked most was learning how to work with policymakers to address real social issues. After the training, I felt more confident in my ability to contribute to policy decisions and make a positive impact. The training has already improved my work, and I am excited to apply what I learnt to future projects.

Ally , Statistician CeRIHI

The 15-week training program was incredibly valuable. I gained essential skills such as conducting rapid reviews, searching for evidence on platforms like Google Scholar and PubMed, and selecting analysis types depending on the study. The training also improved my ability to work in a team, review published documents, and determine which ones to retain or drop. Among other things, I have also learned how to shape and respond to policy questions by identifying and utilizing scientific evidence to support decision-making. These skills have greatly enhanced my work as a researcher now, I can properly cite sources, effectively address policy questions using scientific evidence, and find relevant documents to support my writing in my workplace
